Toby McIntosh is director of the Resource Center at the Global Investigative Journalism Network. He is also editor of FreedomInfo.org, a nonprofit website based in Washington, D.C., that covers international transparency laws. After 39 years as a reporter and editor at Bloomberg BNA, he semi-retired in 2014. With a long-standing interest in transparency, McIntosh has filed numerous U.S. FOI requests and written about FOI policies worldwide, with a special interest is transparency at multilateral organizations such as the World Bank. He is a member of the Steering Committee of FOIANet, an international network of FOI advocates.
